Developing a Workplace Champion
-- a Quick Study!

John Smithman,
founder of Champions in the Workplace™

Wouldn't it be nice to cheaply and quickly receive long-lasting performance improvements from a cheap, two-day course?

Yes, it would be nice if someone could become a doctor after a week of intense study for a few hundred dollars; or a powerful athlete after a week of intense training.

But things don't happen that way, do they? There is no such thing as an over-night success. That's the stuff of dreamers, not realists. People have to pay their dues to reach the top if they expect to stay there. Seth Godin said it clearly in his phenomenal best seller, The Dip. We must dedicate our time and money over a long period of practice time to obtain a long period of good results thereafter.

Developing new skills and ways of working is like growing a tree. Plant a seed and nurture it with regular attention and nutrients. Then, train the stem and trim the unneeded branches while the tree grows stronger. Only after a number years, you'll have a sturdy, beautiful tree that will withstand the worst that nature can throw at it. That's how you develop a great tree.

That's how we develop a workplace champion!

Very carefully...
